Chris joined APFS in September 2018 as a trainee adviser. He completed the CII Diploma in Financial Planning (Dip. PFS) in summer 2019. He advises a wide range of clients, covering workplace pensions, self-invested pensions, bonds, investments and insurance products. By moving into financial services, Chris is following in the footsteps of his father, Andy, who has been a valuable member of the APFS team since 2000. Chris is aiming to complete his Advanced Diploma to gain Chartered Status in financial planning in the next few years. 

 Chris is also a qualified musician and teacher, with an Masters and Undergraduate degree in music from Newcastle University. Alongside working in financial services, he runs a successful music composition business, scoring bespoke music for corporate advertising and television. 

 Outside of work, Chris enjoys tennis, running, travelling and enjoying the great outdoors with his wife, Hilary.
